Karirnya dimulai ketika dirinya menjadi bintang dalam serial TV DAVID COPPERFIELD di tahun 1999, kemudian ia pun berperan sebagai Mark Pendel dalam film THE TAILOR OF PANAMA. Dari sinilah karir daniel pun melonjak, sehingga ia pun dilirik oleh Chris Colombus yang akhirnya membuat pemilik nama lengkap Daniel jacob Radcliffe ini menjadi Peran Utama sebagai Harry Potter dalam film perdananya berjudul HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE.
